My wonderful friend Lynn just attended a yoga retreat at Kripalu (http://www NULL.kripalu NULL.org) in the Berkshires of Western Massachussets. At the end of the retreat, the teacher named the group, “The Joyful Disruptives.” Lynn was named the leader. When I heard this, I thought YES. Perfect.
Lynn is an innovator and a community builder. (She has Aquarius rising!) She has taught me a tremendous amount about gathering and supporting and nourishing a group. I have tended in my life to be quite self-sustaining. Until the last few years, I never asked for much help, let alone support. Lynn is one of my pals who insisted upon offering me an experience of truly being held. And she also has consistently created group experiences full of joyous group PLAY.
When I think of Lynn, I think of her asking, “How can I support you in that? What do you REALLY want? How can we help you make that happen?” And then, I think of how she — step by step– helps me (and many others) reach a place of celebration and manifestation.
Lynn is a producer. She holds a very big vision AND then is meticulous in its execution. She keeps things moving and keeps her team happy.
Lynn’s wedding to Stephen was something to behold. She produced her own wedding in such a joyous, collaborative way, all her guests felt inextricably a part of the ceremony. In fact, almost every one of her guests participated in some way in making the wedding happen. And then, every anniversary since, she and Stephen have gathered a group to help them celebrate. I love this.
Lynn is also the creator of THE SALON in our little group of pals. The SALON started before I knew her. She and a group of fabulous women went to celebrate her birthday over a weekend somewhere in the mountains. They were all instructed to bring an offering — in song, dance, poetry, improv, ritual..well, whatever! It was a gigantic success and these wonderful salons have been getting better and better for about 5 years now. Everyone looks forward to this chance to play and share and celebrate.
What I would love most for Lynn is to see her thriving in RIGHT work. One area I know she has a tremendous amount to offer is in the realm of self care. She’d love to teach, write and speak about how we can all do a whole lot better taking care of ourselves. That is, are we really sleeping, eating, having fun, and working in a way that allows us to thrive in our lives? The answer for 99% of us is NO WAY. Lynn can give us skill sets that help us do so. And let me tell you, it’s great work.
Right now, I would say, definitely have a hand reading (http://www NULL.yourlifeisinyourhands NULL.com) with Lynn. She can share a lot about self-care in a hand reading. She is insightful, practical and inspiring.
And then, whether you know her or not, send some YES energy her way and see her producing something she LOVES. See her thriving in her right work. See her pioneering (Aries Sun) a new path in the realm of self care! See her making oodles of money doing something she loves. YES!
I Love the idea of making oodles of money doing something you love. So here’s a big fat YES to Lynn(I think I met you once at one of the women’s groups)! I hope you read this Lynn, Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, infinity….

[...] Lynn is discovering something called Yoga Groove and will soon be teaching it all over Los Angeles. I have yet to experience it but apparently it’s a party and yoga and dancing all rolled into one. I’ll announce the next Yoga Groove party here. [...]
