Hello lovely people!
Just a bit of housekeeping right off! I’ve been doing more and more video blogs and I’m discovering that my most loyal and lovely subscribers aren’t receiving the video blogs in the email blog. Until I work out this glitch, if the blog email seems somehow incomplete, do visit my site for the video. I hope to talk a lot of astrology through video on this blog. But I want those who’ve actually subscribed to benefit!!
If you’re not a subscriber, just click on the right and start getting these blogs as I write them!
NOW — for the poem!
I’ve had a very full last few weeks. All lovely. But I am recognizing the need for digesting time! This poem opens my breath and heart to the sweetest days of summer —days that stretch on and on –just wanting to be filled with deliciousness. Read it slowly like you are eating a ripe peach and let the words drip into your softest heart.
Big love.
From Blossoms
BY LI-YOUNG LEE
From blossoms comes
this brown paper bag of peaches
we bought from the boy
at the bend in the road where we turned toward
signs painted Peaches.
From laden boughs, from hands,
from sweet fellowship in the bins,
comes nectar at the roadside, succulent
peaches we devour, dusty skin and all,
comes the familiar dust of summer, dust we eat.
O, to take what we love inside,
to carry within us an orchard, to eat
not only the skin, but the shade,
not only the sugar, but the days, to hold
the fruit in our hands, adore it, then bite into
the round jubilance of peach.
There are days we live
as if death were nowhere
in the background; from joy
to joy to joy, from wing to wing,
from blossom to blossom to
impossible blossom, to sweet impossible blossom.
