The WHY of what I do

My friend, Meredyth (http://sherri NULL.machighway NULL.com/~heidiros/2010/friend-friday-2/) sent me the link to this TED talk (http://www NULL.ted NULL.com/talks/simon_sinek_how_great_leaders_inspire_action NULL.html) yesterday.  In it, Simon Sinek talks about something he calls The Golden Circle. At the center of the circle, he writes WHY. In the second ring, he writes HOW and in the third ring, he writes WHAT. He says most companies and inspired leaders that have great success certainly know WHAT they do and they also know HOW they do it. BUT, what makes them stand out is that they can also answer WHY they do what they do. What INSPIRES and MOTIVATES the what and the how.

This inspired me to answer the question for myself.  The question gave me goose bumps.

The WHAT of what I do:
I’m an astrologer.
I see clients individually.
I work with circles of women.
I teach experiential astrology.
I’m a founder of the Hello Love Experiment
I write a blog.
I am a mother and a wife.

The HOW of what I do:
I meet with clients in my studio.
I offer retreats.
I teach teleclasses on line.
I write in the pockets of time I have.
I spend quality time with my family.

The WHY of what I do:

I do what I do…..

To witness the softening of the heart.
To witness the cracking open of the heart.
To witness to fierce heat of the heart.

To participate in the growth of consciousness in the realm of loving.
To participate in breathing the world into greater ease, power and clarity.
To participate in weaving the lines of each heart into an ever expanding circle of love and care.

To open evermore so all I touch can be inspired to open.
To soften evermore so all I meet can be inspired to soften.
To feel with depth and sensitivity so I can feel the essence of any moment.

To FREE myself and all whom I touch from the pain of closure.

To cajole myself and all whom I touch into greater vitality, pleasure and purpose.

To ENCOURAGE us all to live as the RADIANCE we are.
